Each suite has a separate bedroom with king bed, large closet, bureau and cable tv. The bathroom is roomy with tub and shower. All linens are included, of course.

Enjoy your private deck with a view of the harbor.

Sofa beds are provided for your overnight guests. There is a waterview from your dining table, or you may choose to dine on the private furnished waterview deck. Suites have desk, phone, wifi, dvd and cable tv.

The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need if you want to dine in. Bar Harbor's finest dining is all within a short walk if your choice is to dine out. Picnic basket, cooler, and wine coolers are included for your island picnics. A separate laundry room is on premises.

Within walking distance are the grocery store, health food stores, Sunday and Wednesday farmer's markets, post office, boating activities (whale watch, kayak tours, four-masted schooner, etc.), museums, shopping, fine dining, churches, library, YMCA Fitness Center, spas and narrated bus tours. Part of your view is of Bar Island, which gives us our name....BAR Harbor. At low tide twice a day, you can walk across the exposed "bar" to the island which is one of several islands in Acadia National Park. A walk to the top of the Bar Island gives you a view of the entire harbor and village. Mount Desert Island is half Acadia National Park so you are always surrounded by beauty...mountains, ocean, islands, lighthouses, freshwater lakes and 50 miles of carriage trails for traffic-free biking, hiking and guided nature tours.

We are at our gallery or nearby home to answer any questions you may have about beautiful MDI. We look forward to having you as our suites guests and invite you to see Ivan's paintings and other fine Maine art and craft at Alone Moose Gallery. Ivan and Sherry Rasmussen, your hosts.
